What did you think about how the author handled the climax between the dark forces and the heroes?

One thing that stood out to me was the depth Feist gave to the world of Midkemia in this book. The cultures, magic systems, and histories all feel lived-in and authentic, which really enhances the story’s immersion. I liked how the themes of friendship, sacrifice, and destiny were threaded through the narrative without feeling preachy. It’s the kind of fantasy that respects its readers’ intelligence.
