I really enjoyed how Feist weaves together the personal growth of Pug with the larger political and magical conflicts in Midkemia. The transformation from an orphan apprentice to a powerful magician felt natural and engaging, and the vivid descriptions of the world made the setting come alive without overwhelming the story. One moment that stuck with me was Pug's first real test of his magic—there was a real sense of wonder and danger. How do you think Feist's portrayal of magic compares to other fantasy novels you've read?

What struck me most about Magician was how it balances epic battles and intricate court politics without losing sight of the characters’ emotional journeys. The layers of tension between the humans and the Tsurani added a lot of depth to the story, making the stakes feel very real. Plus, the friendships and rivalries felt authentic, which kept me invested throughout. I’m curious, which character’s arc did you find the most compelling, and why?
