Picked this up because the title sounded like it was gonna be more philosophical than it is. Ended up being pretty readable though, and the vibe felt like “here’s how people got good at living together” rather than a deep dive into ethics 24/7.

I’m not totally sold on the argument, but I liked the way it kept dragging things back to everyday incentives and human behavior. The whole thing made me pause a few times, especially when it compared different “virtue” ideas and what they’re really trying to solve. Read it in chunks and it held my attention.
